System Administrator – Infrastructure Operations & Production Support.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administer and support Active Directory, DNS, SharePoint, Exchange and all other MS based technologies for the business.
Provide a point of escalation services and support for the Helpdesk Support Group
Provide 24/7 on-call support for the locally based operation
Participate in weekly maintenance activities as required
Perform general system administration duties in a Windows Active Directory environment
Proactively monitor all Windows 2000/2003/2008 servers and troubleshoot all known issues and problems
Produce appropriate documentation for application deployment, configuration, and related processes
Assist with enforcing change management and compliance procedures
Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing and response
Perform routine preventative maintenance on all hardware on a routine and scheduled basis
Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems.
Position is expansive and additional responsibilities can be added.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

Qualifications & Experience

Must have a minimum of 5 years working experience and expert knowledge of Active Directory, Windows Server 2000/2003 and beyond administration and troubleshooting.
Must have experience supporting mobile email devices such as Blackberry and other, similar technologies
Must have strong scripting skills and knowledge of Windows Power Shell
Sound working knowledge of Internet/Intranet technologies including security features.
Sound working knowledge of network infrastructure and operations, including switching, routing, Ethernet, TCP/IP.
Sound working knowledge of remote access technology.
Proficient and familiar with MS Office Professional Suite including the ability to fluently use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Working experience supporting, maintaining and administering Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005 and beyond
Working knowledge of VMWare and ESXi virtualization.
Excellent customer service and telephone skills, and experience in a professional service environment, with responsibility for supporting multiple applications and network environments.
Must have good English verbal and written communications skills.
Must have very strong problem solving skills.
Must have a minimum of 4 yrs of business experience and/or a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or an equivalent combination in education and work experience

Nice to have skills:
Working knowledge of SAN/NAS storage environments
Some additional skills relating to networking and telecommunications
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work and thrive in a team environment
Strong working knowledge of SDLC Methodology
Knowledge and understanding of Agile/SCRUM Methodology
